To Update ThinApp Packages Using the Side by Side Method

The Side by Side method of updating is very ecient and provides a built in fallback mechanism. The steps

below will provide guidance on how to use the Side by Side method for packages on ﬁleshares and can also be

used for local packages.

To Utilize AppSync to Update ThinApp Packages

The AppSync functionality provides an easy to administer method of updating packages inside or outside

the corporate network. The Application Sync feature is a setting that initiates the pull of a dierential update

package from a central http web service or UNC location. The interval for polling for updates and the location

of the http service or ﬁleshare is conﬁgurable along with other settings in the Package.ini ﬁle.
