5FromtheApplicationdrop‐downmenu,selecttheapplicationtoview.
TheFlowMonitoringchartsarerefreshedtoshowdatacorrespondingtotheselectedapplication.

YoucanchangethedaterangeoftheFlowMonitoringchartsforanhistoricalviewoftrafficdata.
To change the date range of the Flow Monitoring chart
1InthevSphereClient,gotoInventory>HostsandClusters.
2 Selectadatacenterorclusterresourcefromtheresourcetree.
3ClickthevShieldApptab.
4ClickFlowMonitoring.
Thechartsareupdatedto
displaythemostcurrentinformationforthelastsevendays.Thismighttake
severalseconds.
5IntheStartDatefield,typeanewdate.
Thisdaterepresentsthedatefurthestinthepastonwhichtostartthequery.
6TypeanewdateintheEndDatefield.
Thisrepresentsthemost
recentdateonwhichtostopthequery.
7ClickUpdateChart.

TheFlowMonitoringreportpresentsthetrafficstatisticsintabularformat.Thereportsupportsdrillingdown
intotrafficstatisticsbasedonthefollowinghierarchy:
1 Selectthefirewallaction:AllowedorBlocked.

3IfanL2/L3protocolwasselected,selectanL2/L3protocolormessagetype.
4 Selectthetrafficdirection:Incoming,Outgoing,orIntra(betweenvirtualmachines).
