2 About Sophos Anti-Virus for VMware vShield

Sophos Anti-Virus for VMware vShield is a security virtual machine (VM).You set it up as follows:

You install a Sophos security VM on each VMware ESXi host so that it can protect the guest

VMs that are running on the host.

■

You use Sophos Enterprise Console on another computer to manage the security VMs and

keep them up to date with the latest anti-virus software.

Which guest VMs can be protected?

The Sophos security VM can protect guest VMs that run Windows operating systems. For full

details, see Guest VMs (section 4.1.3).
