New Windows Terminal Server (Remote Desktop) Tests

Additional Windows Terminal Server (Remote Desktop) ACE tests have been added to the Conflict

Wizard, which provide an extra level of confidence when delivering applications via Remote Desktop.

You can use these ACEs to perform compatibility testing of applications to ensure that both the package

data as well as the binary files are compliant when run on Terminal Server.

• WTS06: Check for TSAWARE Flag-Enabled Executables

• WTS07: Check for Instances of TerminalServer/RemoteAdminTS Conditions

• WTS08: Checks for 16-Bit Applications

• WTS09: Checks for Files Manifested to Run as Administrator

WTS06: Check for TSAWARE Flag-Enabled Executables

WTS06 checks a package to make sure that all of the executables that it contains have the TSAWARE

flag enabled. The WTS06 error string is displayed in the following format:

The binary '[EXECUTABLE_FILE_NAME]' in package '[PACKAGE_NAME]'('PACKAGE_NAME') does not

have the TSAWARE flag set. This affects the deployment of this package in a terminal

server environment.

Conflict Type: Best Practice Rule / Windows Terminal Server Compatibility

Description: WTS06 checks packages to determine if they contain an executable that

does not have the TSAWARE flag enabled.

Result: If a package contains an executable that does not have the TSAWARE flag

enabled, an error is generated.

Resolution Type: Manual

Resolution: To resolve this error, remove from the package the executable that does not

have the TSAWARE flag enabled.
