WhenyouinstallWorkstation,twonetworkadaptersareaddedtotheconfigurationof
yourhostoperatingsystem.Oneletsthehosttoconnecttothehost‐onlynetwork,and
theotherletsthehosttoconnecttotheNATnetwork.
Thepresenceofvirtualnetworkadaptershasaslightperformancecost,be
cause
broadcas
tpacketsmustgototheextraadapters.OnWindowsnetworks,browsingyour
networkmightbeslowerthanusual.Insomecases,theseadaptersinteractwiththe
hostcomputer’snetworkingconfigurationinundesirableways.

Beforeyoudisconnectahostvirtualnetworkadapterdeterminewhetheryouaregoing
tousethevirtualnetworkadapter.
To connect or disconnect a host virtual network adapter
1 ChooseEdit>VirtualNetworkEditor.
2ClicktheConnectahostvirtualadaptertothisnetworkoptiontoconnect.
3 DeselecttheConnectahostvirtualadaptertothisnetworkoptiontodisconnect.
