8AssignIPaddressesbydoingoneofthefollowing:
Ifyouarerunningtherouteronthehostcomputer,assigndefaultrouter
addressesbasedontheaddressesofthehost‐onlyadaptersonthehost
computer.
Inthefirstvirtualmachine’snetworkingconfiguration,thedefaultrouter
addressshouldbetheIPaddressforthehost‐onlyadapterconnectedto
VMnet1.Inthesecondvirtualmach
ine’snetw
orkingconfiguration,the
defaultrouteraddressshouldbetheIPaddressforthehost‐onlyadapter
connectedtoVMnet2.
Ifyouarerunningtheroutersoftwareinathirdvirtualmachine,setthe
defaultrouteraddressesinthefirsttwovirtualmachinesbasedonthe
addressesthatthethirdvirtualmachineuses.
Inthefirstvirtualmachine’snetworkingconfiguration,thedefaultrouter
addressshouldbetheIPaddressforthethirdvi
rtualmachine’snetwork
adapterconnectedtoVMnet1.Inthesecondvirtualmachine’snetworking
configuration,thedefaultrouteraddressshouldbetheIPaddressforthethird
virtualmachine’snetworkadapterconnectedtoVMnet2.
